State Duma deputies and curator of Kremlin propaganda subjected to sanctions in Montenegro – media

Montenegro has joined the EU sanctions against Russia. The sanctions lists included deputies of the Russian State Duma, as well as employees of Putin's administration.

According to the Montenegrin media, the list includes 34 Russian citizens whose assets were seized. The list includes Aleksey Gromov, who is called the curator of Kremlin propaganda.

Who was on the lists

The assets of deputies from United Russia, the Communist Party, the Liberal Democratic Party and Just Russia were arrested. The name of Sergei Ivanov, who is a member of the Russian Security Council, is also mentioned. As for Gromov, he probably oversees the Kremlin's propaganda and information policy, in particular through state television channels.

The media write that the list is not final and may be amended. All the arrested real estate of Russians is located in such cities as Herceg-Novy, Budva and Zabljak.

Russians can register property through shell companies

It is possible that property – real estate, yachts and companies – Russians own through shell companies. This was announced by the director of the research center MANS Dejan Milovac. This should be the subject of an investigation into who allowed suspicious capital to enter Montenegro.

<p>Since 2012, Gromov, 62, has been the first deputy head of the Russian presidential administration. He is a graduate of the Faculty of History of Moscow State University, while still a student he was a commissar of the Komsomol Operative Squad.</p>
<p>Gromov began his career at the USSR Foreign Ministry, and then continued at the Russian Foreign Ministry. In the 90s he worked as a consul in Bratislava, and then as an embassy adviser. Since 1996, he became the head of the press service of Boris Yeltsin. Since 2000, he has been the head of Putin's press service. Since 2008, he has been working in the presidential administration – first as a deputy, and then as first deputy chairman.</p>
<p> <strong>Pay attention!</strong> Since the 2000s, Gromov has been on the board of directors of the propaganda channel Channel One.</p>
