A massive wave of criticism of the “people's satellite” ICEYE, bought by the Sergei Prytula Foundation, may be sanctioned from Russia.< /strong>
According to the publication, one of the initiators of the information attack is Oles Yasinsky, the founder of TVIS. In the early days of a full-scale war, the company organized fundraising for the purchase of Maxar and BlackSky satellite images. However, the standard window for collecting data from Maxar satellites is 30 days in the absence of clouds and smoke over the area. The ICEYE satellite can capture high-precision images in any weather 24/7.
TVIS is the provider of remote sensing data on Earth. The legal entity was registered in 2002 by Valery Garkusha, Vadim Golubovsky and Sergey Golovko. According to Delo.ua, Golubovsky and Golovko may be Russian citizens.

TVIS supplied satellite images to the Russian Federation. According to information on the website of the Institute of Geology of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, the company was the official dealer of the Russian companies ScanEx (supplier of satellite maps for Yandex and Rosregistr) and Sovzond (supplier of remote sensing data).
The co-owner of ScanEx was Igor Rotenberg, the son of Arkady Rotenberg, an oligarch from President Putin's inner circle. In 2011-2017, ScanEx supplied the image to the FSB department, which specializes in software research and development. In 2016, he was a supplier of software for the management of the internal troops of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia.
According to the authors of the material, Yasinsky's criticism of the “people's satellite” can be due to both hype and a targeted campaign to undermine the country's defense capability . Both options are potentially dangerous.
Knowingly or unconsciously, they (critics – Channel 24) open a window of opportunity for another wave of Russian propaganda, which could lead to negative consequences for Ukraine, – The material says.

Recall that after consultation with the military command, the Serhiy Prytula Foundation spent 600 million hryvnias, which the Ukrainians collected for the purchase of three “Bayraktors”, for the purchase of a full package of services for the Finnish remote sensing satellite ICEYE. The Turkish manufacturer donated the Bayraktors to Ukraine for free.
