The court sentenced an FSB agent who worked for the State Space Agency of Ukraine (SSAU) and transmitted secret information to the enemy to 15 years of imprisonment with confiscation of property.

The SBU counterintelligence detained the traitor in the spring of 2025 during a meeting at the Ministry of Strategic Industries.

According to the investigation, the spy turned out to be a State Security Service official, whom the FSB recruited remotely in 2024 because of his wife, who lives in Rostov-on-Don and collaborates with the occupiers.
The agent had access to classified information in the field of satellite images and the location of strategic enterprises. In particular, the enemy was interested in data on factories producing navigation systems and high-precision weapons for the Ukrainian Armed Forces, as well as the locations of military warehouses.
According to SBU materials, the man agreed to cooperate with the FSB for monetary compensation and planned to leave for the Russian Federation after retiring in the summer of 2025.
During the search, his phone was seized in evidence of espionage activity.
The court found him guilty under Part 2 of Article 28, Part 2 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine – high treason committed by prior conspiracy by a group of persons under martial law.
The investigation was conducted by SBU investigators under the procedural guidance of the Office of the Prosecutor General.
