Special Operations Forces Decipher 'Drone Catching' Tactics From DPRK Soldier's Notebook

by alex

Ukrainian Special Operations Forces (SOF) have deciphered the second entry in the notebook of a North Korean soldier who was killed in the Kursk region. It described tactics for combating Ukrainian drones.

Second part of the notebook of a DPRK private has been deciphered

In his notebook, Private Gyong Hong Jong described a method for catching a drone using live bait, so to speak. The idea is that three people are involved in this process: one plays the role of bait, and the other two must destroy the drone.

— It is not yet known whether this is an authentic North Korean tactic or whether they were taught this by the Russians. But this tactic uses live bait, — the SSO report says.

It is noted that the DPRK fighter also left his own illustrations in the notebook to explain the plan.

— How to avoid the artillery shelling zone. In case of being caught in the shelling zone, having designated the next assembly point (group), you need to disperse into small groups and leave the shelling zone. Another way: since the artillery does not fire at the same point, you can take cover at the point of (previous) hit, and then leave the shelling zone, — the destroyed North Korean wrote in his notebook.

Recall that the first deciphered entry from the DPRK soldier's notebook was a birthday greeting to his comrade. He reported that he was in Russia and wished his “best friend and army brother” good health.
