Spain plans to transfer weapons to Ukraine for a record amount of 1.1 billion euros. This money can be used for the supply of military equipment.

What is known about the new aid from Spain

During his visit to Spain, the President of Ukraine will sign a bilateral security agreement with Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez. It is this, according to the publication, that provides for the supply of military equipment to Ukraine.

Foreign journalists wrote that the Ukrainian military will receive approximately:

• 10 Patriot anti-aircraft missiles,
• 19 Leopard 2A4 tanks,

The publication noted that the agreement provides for contracts for the Spanish defense industry, since military equipment will be produced by Spanish companies. In particular, weapons for Ukraine will be produced by:

• Escribano,
• Uro,
• Expal or Instalaza.
