Sowing panic, – energy expert about Russia returning 5 more turbines for Nord Stream

Canada will return five more repaired turbines for Nord Stream to Germany. This, of course, is contrary to the sanctions policy.

The decision taken indicates that the parties are playing a very ugly game. This Channel 24 was told by the expert of the Energy Strategies Institute Yuri Korolchuk.

We see a very ugly game from Canada, the European Union and Russia. Unfortunately, this is a continuation of the story of panic, tension in the EU regarding the cold winter, the inability to receive gas, statements about the need to launch Nord Stream 2, – said an expert from the Institute for Energy Strategies.

Under what conditions will Nord Stream 2 work

It is important to understand that EU traders trade Arabic, Norwegian, Russian energy resources. Therefore, they are dominated by the concept of the business world.

“If we want peace, then they want peace in order to resume cooperation and earn money further. The story with turbines and panic should push for an early resolution of the issue of war in Ukraine,” Korolchuk emphasized.

What it will be – peace, truce, temporary ceasefire – is difficult to predict now. But this, Korolchuk believes, will inevitably become the reason for the need to resume cooperation, because the Europeans will suffer, freeze. And they will use it.

For the winter period – from October – 2 – 3 turbines will work. Nord Stream 1 can reach this level in terms of gas use. And only then, Nord Stream 2, after the stage of implementing the concept of the business world, may enter public discussion in order to resume the implementation of the development of renewable energy sources in Europe,” he said.

An expert from the Institute for Energy Strategies added, that Nord Stream 2 is 50% industrial and another 50% is gas generation for the reserve operation of solar and wind energy.

“It will be very difficult to refuse, and finding an alternative is a very protracted process” , – summed up Korolchuk.
