In South Korea they intend to reconsider the issue of supplies weapons to Ukraine. This decision was made after Russia entered into an agreement with North Korea.

Recall that Vladimir Putin signed a new agreement on June 19 during his visit to the DPRK agreement with Kim Jong-un. It talks about a “comprehensive strategic partnership,” which, according to Putin, includes “providing assistance in the event of aggression against one of the participants.”

South Korea hints at possible arms supplies to Ukraine

The South Korean government condemned the agreement signed between Russia and North Korea, which provides for mutual defense assistance in the event of war.

National Security Advisor Chang Ho Jin noted his intention to reconsider the issue of weapons support for Ukraine. The official said South Korea would not disclose details regarding the types of weapons it might transfer to Ukraine.

According to Chang, South Korea will also impose additional sanctions against 4 ships, 5 organizations and eight people involved in the transfer of weapons and oil between Russia and North Korea.

Now, after the war with Ukraine, 1,159 items are subject to export controls to Russia, and South Korea will add 243 new items, bringing the total number of goods under sanctions to 1402.
