The annual meeting of the CIS countries took place in Russia. At the summit, Vladimir Putin could have hinted to the leaders of these countries that the time had come to “pay their debts.” Like, before Russia helped them, but now they have to.
Instead, the CIS countries repay the Russian dictator with “black ingratitude.” Such an opinion on Channel 24 was expressed by political strategist Mikhail Sheitelman.
Putin is dissatisfied with the behavior of the CIS countries
Thus, the self-proclaimed president of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko refuses to provide Putin with his army to participate in the war against Ukraine, like other countries. In addition, countries refuse to provide weapons to Russia.
Many leaders of the CIS countries host those who fled from the mobilization. I think Putin is also extremely dissatisfied with this – he wants them (Russians who fled from mobilization – Channel 24) to be returned to Russia, – Sheitelman said.
Russians who do not want to become “cannon fodder” are accepted in Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan and Armenia.
What Putin could achieve at the summit
However, this is all “behind the scenes” – informal conversations. Indeed, today, at the formal level, the head of the Kremlin and the leaders of the CIS countries have no subjects for agreement.
What could Putin seek – military assistance? He won't get it. To give him mobilized? They will not be issued. The last thing that remains is his attempts to sell gas to these countries,” the political strategist said.
According to him, Putin has nowhere to sell blue fuel, because this year gas exports have decreased by 20%. And this despite the fact that the relevant sanctions came into force quite recently.
In addition, in October there were explosions on gas pipelines. And this means that next year the export of blue fuel will fall by about half compared to 2021.

The collapse of Russia will mean the security of other countries
According to Sheitelman, the CIS countries could take advantage of the disappearance of Russia as a single state. For example, Central Asia would strengthen its independence because it is under the constant threat of military aggression and occupation from Russia.
At the same time, Kazakhstan scored a huge diplomatic victory when Chinese leader Xi Jinping announced that the country was now will be under the territorial protection of China.
Since then, the territorial threat to Kazakhstan has disappeared, although Russian propagandists continue to tell which territories of this country need to be “taken”.
However, countries such as Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan, are concerned about a possible attack from Russia. Moreover, a Russian military base is located on the territory of the latter.
The collapse of Russia will mean depriving them of certain political and military risks, the political consultant explained.
At the same time, Armenia's behavior now looks “masochistic”. So, for some reason, the country perceives Russia as a guarantor of its security, although it is obvious that the future of Armenia lies in European integration and NATO.
