Today, November 7, the first group of Ukrainians is to be evacuated from the Gaza Strip. We are talking about 101 people.
This was stated by the Ambassador of Ukraine to Israel Yevgeny Korniychuk, Ukrinform reports.
“The first group of our citizens received permission to evacuate from Gaza – 101 people, and the 367 that we requested are those that were agreed to be evacuated through Israel. The rest are expected to be released on Wednesday. Also, at our request, 51 Moldovan citizens are being released,” the ambassador said.
Korniychuk noted that the first evacuation of Ukrainian citizens should begin today. Employees of the Ukrainian Embassy are already waiting on the border with Egypt and Gaza.
