Some IDPs will have to return IDP payments to the state

Some IDPs will have to return IDP payments to the state/Collage Channel 24 IDP groups will be forced to return part of the payments. This applies to those who leave their temporary place of residence without first contacting social services.

Lawyers of the Ukrainian Helsinki Human Rights Union spoke about this. They noted that from the moment the IDPs return home, all payments received by them as IDPs will be considered illegal.

When to contact the social security authorities

The state does everything possible to protect the rights of internally displaced persons and create conditions for people to voluntarily return to their previously abandoned places of residence or integrate in a new place.

A unified information database is being created to record internally displaced persons. In order to support it, migrants are required to report a change in their place of residence.

If they move to a new place of residence, they must inform the social security authority no later than 10 days from the date of arrival. A in the event that they go to their permanent place of residence, IDPs must inform the social security authority in the place where they issued the IDP certificate. Moreover, you need to notify about your departure no later than three days before it.

If a displaced person changes his place of residence, he is obliged to inform (within 10 days) about this the territorial division of social protection at the new address – the division that issued the IDP certificate, – note lawyers.

When resettlers can be deprived of their respective status

This happens in several cases:

  • if the resettled applied for renunciation of IDP status;
  • if he returned to a permanent place of residence;
  • if he leaves for a permanent place of residence abroad;
  • if he committed a criminal offense;
  • if the fact of false information is revealed his whereabouts.

In all these cases, payments to internally displaced persons are terminated.

What happens if you don't remove yourself from accounting

After discrepancies are discovered, all illegally paid money will have to be returned to the state. Moreover, if the migrant does not want to return them voluntarily, the accrued amount will be collected through the court.

Lawyers add that today it is not at all difficult to find out about the location of the migrant. The hiding of information can be detected both by geolocation and by recent bank card transactions.

Please note. There is currently no electronic transfer application service, and the corresponding page that has existed for some time , is now reporting an error.
