Thus, the Polish soldier who opened fire on a civilian car has been charged with attempted murder and abuse of office. The prosecutor's office will petition for his arrest.

According to the publication, the soldier partially admitted his guilt. However, he stated that he allegedly “did not want to kill anyone.”

A man with a 13-year-old daughter was riding in the car that the soldier shot at. Journalists noted that the girl miraculously escaped death. They say that when the soldier stopped the car and fired the first shots, the child jumped out of the car in a panic, and the father moved forward.

The seat where the girl had previously been sitting was riddled with bullets. The soldier emptied almost the entire magazine of the GROT rifle, aiming at the car.

The suspect is known to be 24 years old. He served in the army for only 9 months. He got there as a soldier of voluntary basic military service and after several weeks of training was sent to the border as part of the military operation “Safe Podlasie”.

However, as the media reported, the soldier left the camp without permission and fired at a civilian car with his service weapon. Afterwards he hid in the forest.
