The wind worsened the situation

The firefighter, in a commentary to the media, said that the fire became so large due to the stormy wind in the area. The flames reached up to 25 meters in height in places and consumed trees.

Earlier, a forest fire broke out near the city of Megara, west of Athens. And several other regions of Greece were on high alert due to fire danger.
