The Belarusian Ministry of Defense has planned to conduct large-scale exercises at the end of September. In them, the hostile country plans to use multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS) “Smerch” and “Polonaise”, created on the basis of the first.

The training was announced at the end of August by the so-called head of the Department of International Military Cooperation Ministry of Defense of Belarus Valery Revenko. By the way, in early August, Minsk began training near the Suwalski corridor near the border of Poland and Lithuania.

What is known about the new planned exercises of the Belarusians

Revenko assured that they had already warned the OSCE participating state about the training within the framework of the Vienna Document 2011.

In the telegram channel of the monitoring group they noted that, according to their data, Belarus will attract units for the exercises:

  • 6th mechanized brigade;
  • 11th mechanized brigade (including the 841st artillery group and reconnaissance battalion);
  • 19th mechanized brigade (including the 191st artillery group);
  • ️120th mechanized brigade.
  • 336th rocket artillery brigade, etc.

It is known that Belarus is already preparing for exercises. In particular, they conduct:

  • reviews during which the availability and condition of equipment, weapons and military equipment are checked;
  • classes on the prevention of “negative information impact on personnel.”< /li>

Military personnel have to recognize an algorithm for recognizing false information (fakes), as well as the procedure for using social networks and instant messengers, said the telegram channel.

Moreover, the monitoring group, citing its information, reported that units of the 336th Rocket Artillery Brigade had already begun to move to the exercise area. It is this brigade that is armed with the Smerch and Polonaise multiple launch rocket systems.

Russia withdrew almost all of its units from Belarus

  • On September 7, the State Border Service of Ukraine announced that Russia had withdrawn from Belarus almost all of its units that had completed training as part of a rotation. Instead, the Kremlin did not create new units.
  • Subsequently, a military expert and reserve colonel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, instructor pilot Roman Svitan, said that after Russia began to withdraw personnel and equipment from Belarus, the threat of an offensive from Minsk has decreased significantly.
  • Roman Svitan also noted that there were no more than 10 thousand enemy personnel on the territory of Belarus. In addition, the media wrote that the enemies took all their aviation from Belarus.
