Slovak carriers will continue the blockade on the border with Ukraine at the Visne Nemecke crossing — Uzhgorod.

This is stated in a statement by the Union of Road Carriers of Slovakia (UNAS). They note that the border blockade will begin on December 11 at 15:00 and will last until the carriers' demands are met.

The statement reports that they are going to block the border of Slovakia with Ukraine for freight traffic, but they do not plan to restrict passenger traffic.

The Union of Road Carriers of Slovakia puts forward a demand to abolish the transport visa-free regime, which operates between the European Union and Ukraine from July 1, 2023.

According to this visa-free regime, Ukrainian carriers do not need to obtain permits to operate on the EU market.
