Zuzana 2 howitzers that Ukraine received from Slovakia/Ministry of Defense of Slovakia
Ukraine received Zuzana 2 howitzers from Slovakia. For the first time, they appeared in service with a neighboring country in 2021.
Slovak Defense Minister Yaroslav Nay confirmed that the weapons had already been transferred to Ukraine. The efficiency of Slovak howitzers is 41 kilometers.
What is known about the Zuzana 2 howitzers? The latter, in turn, are the modernization of the Czechoslovak self-propelled guns DANA vz. 77.
The modernized version of the self-propelled artillery mount has a longer barrel – 52 millimeters, which made it possible to increase the range of destruction to 41 kilometers. The previous version had 45 millimeters. The howitzer is also equipped with a new armored cab.
The howitzer turret has a full 360-degree rotation. For example, in the previous version of the self-propelled guns, the rotation is only 60 degrees.
The number of crew members is 3 people. The Zuzana 2 has auto-loading and multiple simultaneous strike modes.

The day before, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that the Ukrainian military in the JFO zone had successfully mastered French self-propelled artillery mounts on the CAESAR chassis. In addition, we have already managed to test weapons directly on the invaders.
3 combat crews from the separate artillery brigade “Zaporizhzhya Sich” attacked the positions of infidels from French howitzers.
As a result, our soldiers destroyed 5 units of enemy equipment at a distance of more than 22 kilometers. We are talking about:
- 2 tanks;

- truck with Russian ammunition.

In addition to the French, American M777 howitzers have also been successfully tested in Ukraine. The artillery system is already actively used in battles in the East of our state. Currently, artillerymen in the JFO zone are destroying enemy targets and providing powerful fire support to Ukrainian mechanized and motorized infantry units.
Ukrainian artillerymen mastered American howitzers so quickly that even NATO colleagues were surprised.
