How elite cars continue to be imported into Russia

Journalists analyzed that more than 30 Belarusian companies import luxury cars to Russia. Some of the leaders of these companies have close ties to Belarusian dictator Alexander Lukashenko. In particular:

• the ZIP-Line company supplied cars worth more than $4.8 million to Russia. It is owned and managed by Andrey Piskarev. The latter previously worked for businessman Yuri Chizh, who was called Lukashenko’s “wallet”; million dollars;
• City Transport Company LLC and Eastern Partnership Trading House LLC, associated with the Moscow authorities.

It should be noted that large automobile companies have left the Russian market. In turn, the governments of the US, EU and UK imposed sanctions on luxury goods, prohibiting the sale of cars to Russia for more than 50 thousand euros. But journalists found out that the following were sold to Russia, bypassing sanctions:

• Rolls-Royce Cullinan Black Badge for 633 thousand dollars,
• Ferrari SF90 Stradale for 538 thousand dollars,
• Lamborghini Urus for 434 thousand dollars.
