Russian occupiers continue shelling of settlements in the Luhansk region, so the locals are forced to evacuate to safer places. In particular, civilians are being taken out of Lisichansk.

This was stated by the head of the Luhansk regional military administration, Sergei Gaidai. He noted that civilians had already reached a safe place.

Gaidai said that on June 25 more people left Lisichansk 13 civilians.

The quiet evacuation continued on 25 June. 13 local residents, tired of living under shelling, decided to leave Lysichansk for the Dnieper. Three of today's lucky ones are children, – said the chairman of the OVA.

All the evacuated residents of Lisichansk are safe. Volunteers, policemen and rescuers from the Luhansk region were involved in the operation.

Briefly about the situation in the Lugansk region

  • On the morning of June 24, the head of the Luhansk Regional Military Administration, Sergei Gaidai, reported that the Ukrainian military had received an order to withdraw from Severodonetsk. The reason for this was that the Russians had already completely destroyed the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, so there is no point in being on them. Now our fighters must retreat to fortified positions and fight from there.
  • Russian infidels have taken control of Nikolaevka. At the same time, the Ukrainian defenders managed to repel the attack on Lysichansk. Currently, active fighting continues near the Peaceful Valley.
  • In the direction of Lisichansk, the invaders are moving from Toshkovka and Zolote. Gaidai noted that it would be difficult for the invaders to capture the city because of the landscape. After all, its territory is stretched and has elevation differences.
  • The Russian army is also pulling a large amount of heavy equipment to Lisichansk. In particular, 6 Tochka-U missile launchers left Starobelsk alone.
  • At the same time, analysts at the Washington-based Institute for the Study of War (ISW) reported that the pace of the invaders' advance would slow down significantly in the coming weeks. They emphasized that the capture of Severodonetsk for the Russians was disproportionate to the losses they suffered there.
  • The invaders took most of the equipment and manpower that was in this direction only to capture one city. They tirelessly tried to encircle Severodonetsk and suffer significant losses. The enthusiasm of the city can hardly be called a decisive victory, so experts consider it an irrational use of forces.
