Aleksey Arestovich, adviser to the head of the President's Office, reported this to Channel 24. He stressed that the pace of aid is slower than Ukraine needs it.
Help does not keep up
According to Arestovich, the pace of lend-lease frankly do not succeed. He explained that now there is a pursuit of schedules for the delivery of aid to Ukraine for Lend-Lease and Russian accumulation of reserves, and, unfortunately, the Russians are ahead of us.
According to Arestovich, the enemy will be able to prepare up to 30 battalions of tactical groups within 1-1.5 months. As the adviser emphasized, this is one third of the total number of Russian military who have entered the territory of Ukraine since the beginning of the full-scale invasion. Therefore, in the next month we are in for significant trouble. It will be very, very difficult for us at the front,” Arestovich said.
When the situation changes
However, as he emphasized, if Lend-Lease then works as it should, then the situation at the front will change in our favor. At the same time, during this time, the Russians will be exhausted, since these 30 battalions will be thrown into battles.
According to Arestovich, everyone knows how the Russians fight, so it’s no secret that in 2 weeks from the enemy battalion 20% – 40% of the personnel will remain.
In a month and a half they will exhaust their strength, and we will just save up. Then, perhaps, the situation will go the other way. At least in 1.5 months – somewhere in the middle of July – the situation will be compared, – said Arestovich.
As he noted, if the Lend-Lease story had begun at least 3 weeks earlier, It hasn't been such a hard month. However, unfortunately, it is inevitable, so we must tune in to it.
“I remind you that we will win after all, Russia cannot win the potential pursuit with the West and the attempts of the Ukrainian people to fight for their own. However, the month will be difficult,” summed up Arestovich.
