Three people were struck by lightning in the Moscow region. Two are in critical condition. A video showing the moment of the strike has surfaced online.

The emergency occurred in Patriot Park, on the square in front of the Main Temple of the Russian Armed Forces.

What happened

Russian publics report that two men were walking around the square under an umbrella. Lightning struck the top of it. A second later, both men were lying unconscious on the ground. A 61-year-old woman walking next to him also received an electric shock. She remained conscious and was able to stand up on her own. Later, it became known about another victim.

As noted by Telegram channels, one of the injured men is in serious condition, doctors are trying to revive him on the spot. Another – a 39-year-old man, in addition to the electric shock, received a closed craniocerebral injury and a forehead wound.

Two women were less injured. Both were taken to hospitals with a diagnosis of “electric shock.”
