Secretary of the Russian Security Council Sergei Shoigu arrived in Iran on Putin's instructions. His visit was not announced.

Russian propaganda media and the Iranian state agency IRNA wrote about Shoigu's visit to Iran after the fact, reports 24 Channel.

Why Shoigu came to Iran

Russian media write that Shoigu arrived there on the instructions of dictator Putin to fulfill the agreements reached during the visit of the Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council of Iran Ali Akbar to St. Petersburg.

They reported that the Russian official has already met with Akbar.

During the meeting with his Iranian counterpart, Shoigu analyzed the agreements reached between the two countries and confirmed his support for the Islamic Republic's policy regarding corridors and transport routes with the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Iranian publication writes.

He also met with President Masoud Pezeshkian and conveyed to him a message from Putin.
