Shmigal discussed further assistance to Ukraine with the IMF Director/Denis Shmyhal's telegrams
Prime Minister Minister Denis Shmigal discussed with the Director of the International Monetary Fund Kristallina Georgieva the issues of further financial support of Ukraine.
He spoke about the results of the visit in his telegram channel. Meanwhile, Shmihal noted that the assistance would be grants, not loans.

Prime Minister of Ukraine recalled that the International Monetary Fund was one of the first to provide Ukraine with substantial financial support in the amount of $1.4 billion after the start of a full-scale Russian invasion.

At today's meeting, the delegations discussed further assistance from the Fund in the short term and long-term restoration of Ukraine.
We highly appreciate the decision to create a special account under the administration of the IMF to provide additional assistance to Ukraine from the member states of the Fund on a bilateral basis, writes Shmygal.
In addition, according to him, the IMF took the position that help Ukraine should not be predominantly grant, not credit.
