Shelling of Ukraine April 27

On the night of April 27, the Russian army carried out a massive attack on energy facilities in Ukraine.

According to the Air Forces of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, the air defense eliminated 21 of 34 air, land and sea-based missiles.

Energy Minister German Galushchenko said that the attack was focused on facilities in the Dnepropetrovsk, Ivano-Frankivsk and Lviv regions.

During the shelling equipment of four thermal power plants of DTEK was seriously damaged.

Russia attacked the Dnepropetrovsk region, in particular the Dnieper and Krivoy Rog. The attack left two men injured.

There were no casualties among the population due to the attack in the Lviv region, however, critical energy infrastructure facilities in the Stryisky and Chervonogradsky districts were hit.

As for the Ivano-Frankivsk region, critical infrastructure facilities became targets for the invaders, resulting in a fire.

Strikes on the Krasnodar Territory of the Russian Federation

On Saturday night, an attack took place in the Russian Krasnodar Territory, as a result of which two oil refineries and the Kushchevsk airfield were hit.

During the explosions in Slavyansk-on-Kuban, the Slavyansk-EKO oil refinery, the Ilsky oil refinery, a bitumen plant and a number of other facilities were damaged.

According to local residents, the explosions were heard for 30 minutes.

According to sources of ICTV Facts, drones of the Security Service of Ukraine were involved in the operation to strike Russian oil refineries.

Military aid from Australia worth $100 million

The Australian government has announced a military aid package for Ukraine worth $100 million. This was stated by Australian Defense Minister Richard Marles, who was on an official visit to Kyiv on Saturday.

Marles stressed that Australia will remain with Ukraine for as long as necessary to win.

— To this end, we are today announcing the next aid package to Ukraine worth $100 million. $50 million of this amount will be allocated to short-range air defense systems. Another $30 million — to purchase drones as Australia is part of the drone coalition, — said the head of the Ministry of Defense.

According to him, the remaining amount will be spent on the purchase of auxiliary equipment — from inflatables to helmets and boots.

In addition, Australia will transfer to our state air-to-ground ammunition”.

Battles for Ocheretino

In the Donetsk region, fighting continues with the Russian occupiers, where the enemy is trying to capture the villages of Ocheretino and Solovyevo. The populated areas are partially under the control of the Ukrainian Defense Forces, said Nazar Voloshin, speaker of the operational-strategic group of troops Khortytsia.

According to him, the hottest directions remain Novopavlovskoye, Bakhmutskoye and Avdeevskoye.

— The situation is under control by the defense forces. The Russian army is not abandoning attempts to storm the positions of Ukrainian troops along the entire front line. Goal — reach the administrative borders of Donetsk and Lugansk regions, — Voloshin said.

Later Voloshin reported that the invaders were able to break through and gain a foothold in part of Ocheretino in the Donetsk region.

To return the village to the control of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, the Ukrainian Defense Forces also attracted additional reserves.

Heavy fighting is going on in the village, he said.

Dismissal of Maibozhenko

President Vladimir Zelensky fired the head of the Brovary district state administration, Vladimir Maybozhenko, who the day before caused an accident in the Kiev region.

The head of the Kyiv Regional State Administration Ruslan Kravchenko commented on the dismissal.

— This is just the first step. Criminal proceedings against him (Maibozhenko, — Red.) have been opened, suspicion has been reported, a preventive measure has been chosen, — he said.

Kravchenko noted that the investigation against the former head of the Brovary Regional State Administration must be impartial, and the punishment against the person for whom four people suffered must be fair and in accordance with the consequences.

— It will not be possible to avoid responsibility, — added the head of the Kyiv Regional State Administration.

Shoting down Russian drones with a Yak-52 light aircraft

On April 27, the Ukrainian military destroyed two Russian reconnaissance UAVs over the Odessa region — Orlan-10 and Zala, reported the Southern Defense Forces.

Videos subsequently emerged showing that the Orlan-10 drone was destroyed by a light Soviet aircraft, probably a Yak-52.

It is noteworthy that the Defense Forces pointed out the “unexpected turn” for the drones of the occupiers, which turned out to be effective. At the same time, the military in the Defense Forces themselves do not directly confirm the information about the use of the Yak-52 aircraft.

In parallel with this, a video appeared in which you can see the work of a light aircraft against a Russian drone. As experts from the Militarny and Defense express portals estimate, we are talking about a Soviet-made Yak-52 aircraft.
