Shelling of Nikolaev
As a result of the shelling of Nikolaev on March 17, a person was killed and eight other citizens were injured. Due to the attack, residential buildings and vehicles were damaged.
According to the Defense Forces of Southern Ukraine, Russia fired two missiles, probably Iskander-M, from the temporarily occupied Crimea. First, the Russian army fired one missile, and a few minutes later — again to the same place.
They note that the aggressor country used similar tactics to attack Odessa the day before yesterday, March 15, when 21 people died and 75 more were injured.

KAB attack on Volchansk
The Kharkov region is suffering from shelling by the Russian occupiers. On the afternoon of March 17, the city of Volchansk came under attack, and the Russian Federation launched guided bombs at it.
The National Police of Ukraine reported that a 72-year-old man was injured in the attack. A fire also broke out in a private house after the shelling.

Bombing of the Sumy region
The situation in the Sumy region remains very difficult, especially with border settlements. In particular, Sumy, Velyka Pisarevka and Konotop came under attack on March 17.
According to updated information, in Sumy and Konotop there are at least two arrivals using local infrastructure.
At the same time, gas supplies were cut off in Velikaya Pisarevka due to damage to networks after the invaders bombed the center of the border settlement.
Drone attack in the Odessa region
As a result of a drone attack in the Odessa region, there were hits near the regional center. Fires broke out at two mothballed agricultural enterprises, industrial buildings were destroyed, but no people were injured.
The Defense Forces of Southern Ukraine noted that air defense forces landed 13 enemy drones over the Odessa region.
Fires at oil refineries in Russia
Ukrainian drones have already successfully attacked 12 oil refineries in Russia.
It became known that the SBU, together with the Special Operations Forces and the Unmanned Systems Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, carried out drone attacks on the Slavyansk Oil Refinery that night.
Blocking the border between Germany and Poland
Polish farmers have begun blocking the borders with Germany as part of a new protest that will last four days.
We are talking about the checkpoint in Schwecko near Frankfurt an der Oder. It is located on the autobahn connecting Berlin and Warsaw. About 17 thousand trucks move along this road every day.
