Russian shelling of the Kharkov region
On the morning of Sunday, May 19, explosions occurred in the Kharkov region. Russian strikes were recorded in the village of Cherkasskaya Lozovaya, north of Kharkov.
Six deaths are known (among them — a pregnant woman) and 27 injuries.
First, the Chairman of the Kharkov Regional State Administration Oleg Sinegubov reported four dead and eight injured people, including — emergency paramedic.
Subsequently, the head of the Malodanilovskaya community of the Kharkov region, Alexander Gololobov, reported that the number of deaths had increased to five people.
— Previously, five people were killed as a result of shelling of a public facility in one of the populated areas of our community. Among them is a local resident. There are destructions of houses, — he stated.
After 16:00, the Kharkov Regional Prosecutor's Office reported that a 68-year-old man died in the hospital. Therefore, the number of victims increased to six people. Among the dead — woman seven months pregnant.
The head of the Kharkov OVA Oleg Sinegubov announced that May 20 has been declared a Day of Mourning due to Russian terror in the region.

Explosions in Odessa
On the evening of May 19, an explosion occurred in Odessa. This happened within minutes of the air raid warning.
As it later became known, the cause of the explosion was a ballistic missile that a terrorist state launched at the city.
Subsequently it became known that the occupiers fired another series of missiles at the Odessa region.
Usyk — absolute world heavyweight champion
Ukrainian boxer Alexander Usik won the title of absolute world heavyweight boxing champion in a duel with Briton Tyson Fury. He became the first to combine four belts in this weight category at once — WBA, WBO, IBF and WBC.
Boy Usik — Fury ended after 12 rounds by split decision: 115-112 (Usyk), 114-113 (Usyk) and 113-114 (Fury).
Note that for the first time since 1999, someone in the heavyweight division receives the title of absolute world champion. The last one was Lennox Lewis, but then there were three championship belts, and now — four.

Berinchyk won the WBO belt
Ukrainian boxer Denis Berinchyk defeated Mexican Emanuel Navarrete and became the WBO world champion.
Boy Berinchik — Navarrete took place in San Diego, USA, at the Pechanga Arena.
The fight lasted all 12 rounds. The judges gave the victory to the Ukrainian by split decision with a score of 115:113, 112:116, 116:112.
For Denis this was the first championship fight. The Mexican previously held belts in three divisions.

Strike on the minesweeper Kovrovets
Tonight, May 19, the Ukrainian Defense Forces attacked the Project 266-M Kovrovets minesweeper of the Russian Black Sea Fleet, reported the Naval Forces of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

Before this, at night, the Crimean Wind Telegram channel wrote that three explosions were heard in the area of the Engineering Bay of Sevastopol, after which a column of black smoke rose. Missile launches against Crimea were reported.
Germany requested additional funds for Ukraine
The German Ministry of Defense has applied to the Ministry of Finance with a request to allocate additional funds for military support to Ukraine in the amount of €3.8 billion, writes Bild am Sonntag, citing sources in the German government.
According to the publication, the Ministry of Finance unofficially approved the request of the Ministry of Defense; in June it should be submitted to the country's parliament for approval.
The €7.1 billion already allocated to Kyiv this year is almost completely planned, and only €300 million remains for the purchase of new batches of weapons, but Ukraine urgently needs additional support “so as not to lose the defensive the battle against the Russian occupiers”, the publication notes.
— Germany should not hinder the strengthening of Ukraine's defense. If possible, we should provide more weapons this year, — an interlocutor at the German Ministry of Finance told the publication.
According to Bild, for 2025 the German budget includes a record amount of €15 billion to support Ukraine. In addition, the German Ministry of Defense may request from the government an additional €6.7 billion for the Bundeswehr.
