The news of the detention of pro-Russian blogger Anatoly Shariy stirred up the network on the morning of May 5th. Internet users, not hiding their joy, began to share memes that ridicule the position of a traitor to Ukraine.

According to media reports, the scandalous blogger was detained on May 4 in the Spanish city of Tarragona in Catalonia. The country's police had an international arrest warrant. Assistance was provided by the SBU and the Office of the Prosecutor General, as well as international partners.
The SBU stressed that the detention of Shariy is a vivid example that all traitors to Ukraine will be held accountable before the law. The pro-Russian propagandist is accused of treason and violation of the equality of citizens depending on their race, nationality or religious beliefs.
The blogger spread numerous fakes, undermining the security of Ukraine. Consequently, the SBU has reason to believe that Shariy acted on the orders of foreign structures. The blogger's public statements have already been recognized as containing facts of subversive activities against Ukraine.
