Donetsk Shakhtar beat Swiss Young Boys in the fourth round of the Champions League and won their first victory in the current European Cup.
The Shakhtar vs. Young Boys match took place at the Veltins Arena in Gelsenkirchen and ended with a 2:1 victory for the Miners.

The Miners started the match actively and were in contention for a penalty in the first ten minutes, and even scored, but Eginald's goal was immediately disallowed due to an offside position.

The Swiss club opened the scoring in the 27th minute. Young Boys player Cheyk Niasse intercepted a pass from Artem Bondarenko and passed to Kastriot Imeri, who shot into the net of Dmytro Riznyk. For the Swiss club, it was the first goal in this Champions League.
But just four minutes later, Shakhtar scored its first goal in the European Cup. A goal was scored by Alexander Zubkov, who restored parity in the match.
Towards the end of the first half, Georgy Sudakov took the game into his own hands and created a wonder goal, shooting into the far corner of the yellow-blacks' goal. Neither team scored in the second half.
After the break, the miners made nine shots at the opponent's goal, including two on target. However, the second half of the match was goalless.

Thanks to the victory over Young Boys, the miners now have four points. In the standings, Marino Pusic's charges rose to 26th place.
The miners' opponent in the next round of the Champions League will be the Dutch PSV. The match is scheduled to take place on November 27 in Eindhoven.
