On the night of September 8, at least two Russian “Shaheds” crossed Romanian airspace. Bucharest was forced to scramble F-16s due to enemy drones.

Specialists from the Romanian Ministry of Defense, intelligence service and the Ministry of Internal Affairs “collected fragments of a Russian drone” in the vicinity of the village of Periprava in Tulcea County.

It is noted that the wreckage will now be sent for examination “in accordance with legal procedures”.

Search will also take place in the near future in the vicinity of Caraormani, where, according to reports, there is another possible crash site, the ministry reported defense.

It is noted that the debris was found outside of populated areas, no infrastructure elements were damaged.

By the way, Russian drones have recently crossed the airspace of not only Romania. In particular, on Saturday, September 7, the Latvian Ministry of Defense announced that a Russian drone had crashed in the east of the country.
