Street battles, artillery and tank duels are constantly going on in Severodonetsk, but the Ukrainian military continues to hold its ground.
This was told by the commander of the “Freedom” battalion, captain of the National Guard of Ukraine Petro Kuzik. He noted that the situation in Severodonetsk is constantly changing and there are days when Ukrainian defenders control 50-40% of the city.

He noted that the invaders had destroyed all the bridges that lead to Severodonetsk in the Lugansk region, so the battalion had to look for other ways to deliver ammunition. According to Kuzyk, most of the city was captured by the invaders.
“Now Severodonetsk is semi-encircled, there is a threat in it, but there is no order to retreat. We are soldiers and follow orders. Now there is an order to hold positions and squeeze the enemy out of the city if possible, which we are trying to do qualitatively with some varying success,” the commander said.< /p>
He added that no one thinks about retreat, but on the contrary, they set the goal of de-occupying the city. According to him, all departments work very well, so it's “at least too early” to talk about leaving the city. He noted that an order for a counteroffensive was possible in the near future.

The Office of the President reported that in the Lugansk region, Russian invaders tried to attack in Severodonetsk and Toshkovka, The villages of the Gorskaya and Popasnyanskaya communities suffer the most. Yesterday, the Ukrainian military repelled another assault on Toshkovka, where destruction is increasing every day. Also, the enemy mercilessly destroys everything in Viktorovka, Novoivanovka, Volcheyarovka, Nirkov and other settlements. On June 15 in Gorskoe, the invaders damaged 12 houses, one civilian was injured.
