Russia continues to lose its top military personnel. Thus, the aggressor country has already confirmed that our defenders eliminated Major General Vladimir Zavadsky, deputy of the 14th Army Corps.

The governor of the Voronezh region, Alexander Gusev, made a corresponding statement. Let us note that earlier the media reported about the general’s liquidation. Also, relevant information was published on his Facebook by Anatoly “Stirlitz” Stefan, an officer of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Gusev himself wrote in his telegram that Zavadsky joined the “lava of the two hundredth ” “in a combat position in the special operation zone.”

Note that several Russian sources supporting the war against Ukraine also reported the liquidation of the deputy commander of the 14th Army Corps.

For example, the military publication Novorossiya wrote that the major general “went to Kobzon” in the Izyum region in the Kharkov region. True, this is a very strange message, given that the city is in the Ukrainian rear and about 50 kilometers from the front line.

Meanwhile, other media write that Zavadsky could have been eliminated in the Krynok district of the Kherson region. Actually, there the invaders have been trying to resist the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ bridgeheads on the left bank of the Dnieper over the past weeks.

What is known about Zavadsky

• Thus, from 2018 to 2021, Major General Zavadsky commanded the Kantemirovskaya tank division in the Moscow region.
• Note that until February 24, 2022, its 14th Army Corps was stationed in the Murmansk region. He was subordinate to the command of the Northern Fleet.
• Ukrainian military analyst Konstantin Mashovets noted that the 80th “Arctic” motorized rifle brigade, which is part of the 14th Army Corps, operates in the Kherson region as part of the Dnepr group.

The seventh “zakobzoned” general

From the very beginning of the full-scale invasion, Zavadsky became the seventh general to be eliminated in Ukraine.

In the first four months , Andrei Sukhovetsky, Vladimir Frolov, Kanamat Botashev, and Roman Kutuzov died. Then, for a whole year, there were no confirmed losses among senior Russian officers.

Since June 2023, Russian generals again began to suffer losses. Thus, from the beginning of summer to the end of autumn, two more generals were eliminated – the chief of staff of the 35th combined arms army of Russia, Major General Sergei Goryachev, as well as the deputy commander of the Southern Military District, Lieutenant General Oleg Tsokov.
