A series of powerful explosions in Zaporizhia and the region thundered on the night of September 23-24. There are casualties as a result of the Russian shelling, a strike on a critical infrastructure facility was recorded.
Night explosions in Zaporizhia — what are the consequences
As reported by the National Police, on September 23, between 22:30 and 23:00, the Russian army launched a series of strikes on the city of Zaporizhia and the region.

At the same time, the occupiers struck a residential area. At least two private houses were destroyed.
According to preliminary information from the National Police, there is a man dead and four wounded, of whom — two children.
Some of the injured were taken to hospitals in Zaporizhia with varying degrees of severity, Regina Kharchenko noted.
The National Police added that the type of ammunition that was used to shell Zaporizhia is being determined.
Before the explosions in Zaporizhia, the Ukrainian Air Force warned of enemy tactical aviation activity in the north-eastern direction and the threat of using air-to-air weapons.
At the same time, the OVA stated that it was possible to use guided aerial bombs (KABs) in the Zaporizhia region.

On the afternoon of September 23, Russian troops launched strikes on Zaporizhia, resulting in two casualties, a hit on a critical infrastructure facility in one of the residential areas was recorded, about a dozen apartment buildings, a private house and a dormitory were damaged.
Due to the night shelling of Zaporizhia and the suburbs, the number of casualties increased to 22 people. Then the occupiers launched seven airstrikes. Among them: three hit Zaporizhia, another four — across the district.
