President Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic had a telephone conversation with Putin. In it, they agreed on gas supplies to Serbia at a bargain price.
The Kremlin reported that Putin and Vučić were talking about natural gas supplies to Serbia and confirmed mutual sentiments to strengthen the strategic partnership between Russia and Serbia. They also discussed Ukraine and Kosovo.
Cheap gas for Serbia
And Vučić said that he had a good conversation with the President of Russia and that they talked about several different topics, and for Serbia, the most important thing is that the main elements of the new gas agreement have been agreed, which will be signed for three years.
The President of Serbia added that these conditions are very favorable for the country and that the formula used so far will remain unchanged, that is, the price will be very favorable.
The gas price will be 100 percent according to the oil formula, that is, from 310 to 408 dollars per thousand cubic meters of gas, that is, the price for 2.2 billion cubic meters of gas, this is the best price in Europe, the issue of the price for an additional 800 million cubic meters of gas is being decided, because that our consumption has increased,” Vučić said.
After the conversation, he said, he sent a letter to Gazprom director Alexei Miller to discuss new gas volumes tomorrow.
“If we we will implement everything as agreed with Putin, we will have a safe winter in terms of gas supplies, and after negotiations with Gazprom on volumes, we will be able to say exactly how much an average cubic meter will cost us, which will be 10 to 12 times less than others pay in Europe,” the president said.

President Vučić said that he presented Serbia's position that it wants peace to be established in Ukraine as soon as possible. Putin told him that there is a proposed agreement that is on the table in Moscow, Kyiv and other centers of power, but he cannot divulge the details.
