For people who are in prison and express a desire to be mobilized into the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, if the corresponding bill is adopted, separate units will be created.

The Minister of Justice announced this on the air of the One News telethon Denis Malyuska.

— The legislation contains certain guarantees that will ensure that the implementation of the law is effective. In particular, this is not only a voluntary, that is, contract form of service, but also the creation of separate units where those who have been released from prison will serve. So that there is no different approach, so that someone, suddenly leaving prison, does not end up in the “Uzhgorod cauldron”, not fulfilling his military duty, — explained the minister.

He noted that such mobilized could carry out tasks not related to the use of weapons. For example, build fortifications.
