Several explosions have taken place near Russian Belgorod in recent days. Most likely, the regime of self-destruction of the S-300 missiles, with which the occupiers are hitting Kharkiv, has worked.
Military expert Roman Svitan said this on Channel 24. He noted that the S-300 missiles did not go through certain routine maintenance for a long time, so many simply do not start.
What could really happen in Belgorod
Rassvet noted that the distance from Belgorod to Kharkov is approximately 80 kilometers. Therefore, S-300 missiles can be launched from behind Belgorod, with which the Russian invaders are shelling this Ukrainian city. . – said the military expert.
In his opinion, there is a possibility that such shelling was planned in Kharkov, in its infrastructure. However, the S-300s are surface-to-air missiles that the Russians converted to surface-to-ground to strike targets on the ground.
They probably just don't work. There is such a mode of self-destruction of these missiles at certain moments. All these missiles are almost very old, they are several decades old,” Svitan noted.
According to him, the S-300 missiles did not go through certain routine maintenance, so many of them simply do not start. When leaving the mines, they move away from the trajectory.
There is a so-called self-liquidator there. Therefore, the rocket could simply fall or self-destruct. – said the military expert.
After all, he noted, there are a lot of such missiles that the Russians use, for example, they fall in Zaporozhye in the area of Rodov, beyond Tokmak. That is, they don't work. This could also happen when the Russians were about to shell Kharkiv, and the rocket self-destructed and fell on any complex in the city of Belgorod.

Could the FSB have done this
Svitan noted that Russia's declaration of martial law and full mobilization in the regions bordering Ukraine in order to defend themselves against Ukrainians allegedly shelling them would be a very correct step from a military point of view.
After all, the entire border between Russia and Ukraine can be considered a front line. Therefore, the Russian generals should have at least demanded the introduction of martial law along the entire border of Ukraine with Russia, as well as Ukraine with Belarus,” the military expert said.
After all, he noted, it is much easier for the military to implement certain military measures in regions where martial law has been declared. It is also easier to turn on the full mobilization mode there, because people will be motivated to defend their homes.
The mechanism is very simple. It has been tested since 2014 on Ukrainian territory near Donetsk and Lugansk. That is, 8 years ago in these cities there were so-called wandering Russian mortars that fired at residential buildings, blaming these problems on the Ukrainian troops, and somehow raised the motivation to join the ranks of the “DPR”, Svitan said.
< p> Therefore, in his opinion, the Russians can apply the same move to their regions. Moreover, for the FSB, which more than 20 years ago blew up a dozen Russian houses in order to put Putin in power, it will not be difficult, in particular, to bombard Belgorod with the same S-300 missiles.
