A member of the North Korean delegation died in the Russian capital. The man went to the beach to freshen up. He was never seen alive again.

The accident happened to 64-year-old Kim Kum Chol. The man arrived in Moscow on a working visit. He was a representative of an agricultural enterprise as part of the DPRK delegation.

Tried to escape the heat and drowned

According to Russian sources, Kim lived at the North Korean embassy. In the heat, the foreigner went to cool off and relax on the Angstrem beach in Zelenograd (one of the 12 administrative districts of Moscow), after which he disappeared.

Kim’s colleagues sounded the alarm, Hours later, only his belongings were found on the shore. They turned to the police for help. They searched for the missing man for several hours, but never found him. And the very next day the Korean’s body floated to the surface of the pond – and then he was already identified. The incident is being investigated.
