The funds can be spent on purchasing necessary stationery, books, children's clothing and shoes. To receive the Schoolboy's Pakunok, you will need to submit an application through Diya.
— The money can be spent exclusively in non-cash form, paying with a card for the things that are needed for school. The Ministry of Social Policy will communicate all the details and information about the start of submitting applications, — said Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal.
The head of the Ukrainian government emphasized that the payment of 5 thousand UAH will in no way affect the assignment of housing subsidies or other social benefits.
“The launch of Pakunki Shkoljara is a small part of the innovations that are also designed to create conditions for Ukrainians to continue to live and work in Ukraine,” Shmyhal added.
The State Statistics Service recently reported that the number of schoolchildren in Ukraine has fallen to a 30-year low. Experts estimate that the downward trend is likely to continue.
