Scholz plans to continue talking with Putin: what his statement could mean

by alex

Despite the fact that Olaf Scholz helps Ukraine with weapons, in particular, he decided to provide us with German Leopard tanks, he continues to believe that something can be agreed with Vladimir Putin. What this statement can mean – read in the article.

ThisChannel 24 was told by political strategist Boris Tizenhausen. He believes that the German chancellor may have had something completely different in mind.

In his opinion, Scholz may be saying that it is necessary to speak with Putin not to end the war, but to prevent the Russian dictator from pressing some button or accepting the position of the West that he cannot win this war.

It could be some such messages. I think that Scholz, like Macron (President of France – Channel 24), believes in classical diplomacy and think that if they have evolved the path of politicians, they will be able to convince everyone of something. But this is all nonsense, says Tizenhausen.

The political scientist noted that even Ben Wallace admitted that the Russians simply lied to his face. The Chinese also said that Putin had deceived them.

“It seems to me that Putin just enjoys lying. He thinks that it makes him strong if he allows himself to lie to everyone he wants. Previously, Putin generally intimidated European leaders,” says Tizenhausen.

By the way, Olaf Scholz said earlier that Germany was ready to negotiate with Russia on arms control in Europe. However, the relevant negotiations can take place only after hostilities in Ukraine end.

In December, Scholz had a conversation with Putin: what they talked about

  • Recently, the German chancellor had another conversation with Russian dictator Vladimir Putin. It was dedicated to the war of Russia against Ukraine. The chancellor urged Putin to reach a diplomatic solution as soon as possible, including the withdrawal of Russian troops.
  • Scholz condemned Russian airstrikes on civilian infrastructure in Ukraine and noted Germany's determination to support Ukraine in its defense against Russian aggression.
  • In response, Putin cynically justified attacks on Ukraine's energy system. The Kremlin dictator urged Scholz to reconsider Germany's approach in the context of the Ukrainian events.
  • Mikhail Podolyak, Advisor to the Office of the President, reacted to the conversation between Scholz and Putin. He stated that the Kremlin dictator cannot be the subject of a dialogue with the world, because he does not have his own political perspective in Russia itself.
