Scenarios and blackouts discussed: Zelensky held a meeting on energy supply security

On October 19, President Volodymyr Zelensky held a strategic meeting on security at energy supply facilities. In particular, it discussed the necessary steps to eliminate the consequences if the Russians put the power system of Ukraine out of action.

They also discussed issues of cooperation with international partners to provide equipment to provide all settlements where there is no electricity . The President set the task of quickly creating mobile power points for critical infrastructure.

Zelensky held a meeting on power supply security

The President held a meeting on security at energy supply facilities. It was attended by:

  • Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmigal,
  • Minister of Energy Herman Galushchenko,
  • Minister of Internal Affairs Denys Monastyrsky,
  • Minister for the Development of Communities and Territories, Alexey Chernyshev,
  • representatives of the State Emergency Service,
  • heads of energy enterprises, executive authorities and local governments.

We are working on the creation of mobile food stations for the critical infrastructure of cities, towns and villages. We are preparing for different scenarios of possible consequences. Ukraine will protect itself. No matter what the enemy plans and does,” Zelensky noted.

During the meeting, they discussed:

  • measures to eliminate the consequences in the event of a breakdown of the Ukrainian energy system;
  • topical security issues at critical facilities that ensure the life of cities, towns and villages;
  • necessary steps to pass the heating season in the face of constant enemy shelling of energy supply facilities;
  • scenarios of possible consequences and models of supporting the population during possible threats of varying degrees of danger.

In addition, the participants agreed on the necessary measures for the lack of electricity in settlements.

Pay attention! According to President Vladimir Zelensky, since October 10, Russian troops have already destroyed 30% of Ukraine's power plants.
