Students of the Lviv Polytechnic National University protested on November 14, demanding the dismissal of Irina Farion, a teacher at the Ukrainian language department, because of her statements regarding Ukrainian military personnel who speak Russian. At the same time, the university administration does not plan to do this, at least until November 23.
At negotiations with students, they said that now there were supposedly no legal grounds for Farion’s dismissal, but a commission had been created the day before to study and analyze ethical and moral aspects, which would meet on November 23 to make a decision.
At the same time, students plan to protest again “if Farion is not fired after the re-meeting on November 23.”

The day before, former people's deputy Irina Farion got into another scandal by publishing a letter she received from a pro-Ukrainian student from temporarily occupied Crimea, after which he was detained by the FSB.
When asked by journalists whether the educational institution would respond to Farion’s actions, they noted that a working group had been formed that was looking into this issue. The results were promised to be published on November 22.
