The Security Service of Ukraine has put on the international wanted list an ex-people's deputy from the Party of Regions. We are talking about Igor Markov, who was a member of the Odessa City Council and the Verkhovna Rada.

There are more than one suspicion on the vintage account. In particular, he is accused of six articles.

In June, the ex-Naropa announced suspicion of collaborationism, now he is suspected of five more articles, in particular:

  • of infringement on territorial integrity and inviolability of Ukraine;
  • on violation of the equality of citizens depending on their race, nationality, regional affiliation, religious beliefs, disability and other characteristics;
  • on collaboration activities;
  • on propaganda of war;
  • < li> about justification, recognition as legitimate, denial of Russia's armed aggression against Ukraine, glorification of its participants.

The new suspicion was based on his recent actions and calls for war and broadcasts in the pro-Kremlin media. Inciting national, racial or religious enmity and hatred, humiliation of national honor and dignity, etc. were found in his activities. – explained the SBU.

What is known about Igor Markov

  • In 2012, Markov became a deputy of the Verkhovna Rada. And already in 2013, the Supreme Administrative Court of Ukraine ordered the CEC to deprive him of his deputy mandate due to the falsification of election results in district No. 133 (Odessa region). After the start of the trial, Markov voluntarily left the Party of Regions faction.
  • In 201, the court chose a measure of restraint for the former people's deputy in the form of detention. He was charged with beating participants in a picket against the erection of a monument to Catherine II in Odessa in 2007.
  • In 2014, Turchynov returned his mandate, the next day a group of his supporters tried to storm the building of the Primorsky District Court, demanding his dismissal due to with parliamentary immunity. After an eight-hour session, Markov's court was released from custody.
