SBU neutralizes FSB agents: among the detainees is the administrator of the Typical Odessa channel

Unfortunately, even after a year of a full-scale war, in which the “big and mighty” showed almost all the atrocities that it is capable of, there are still people in Ukraine who are going to cooperate with it. Law enforcement officers recently discovered such traitors to Ukraine in Odessa.

Thanks to the effective work of the SBU, it was possible to neutralize the extensive FSB agent network operating in the front-line regions of southern Ukraine and detain its organizer. Note that he turned out to be an assistant to the sanctioned deputy from Crimea, Konstantin Malchikov.

What is known about the activities of criminals

One of the traitors of Ukraine, who agreed to cooperate with a terrorist country, turned out to be a local resident. He periodically visited the Crimea, where he owns a recreation center. It was during the next trip, even before the full-scale invasion, that he was recruited by FSB personnel officer Konstantin Shilov.

After the start of a full-scale war, the main task from the Russian leadership was intelligence work. Subsequently, the Odessa citizen created an anonymous telegram chat, to which he attracted his “like-minded people”. They informed the “administrator” about the observed Ukrainian military equipment. Specifically, attackers:

  • scouted the locations of strategically important objects of the military-industrial complex in the Odessa region,
  • reconnoitered intelligence data on the locations and movement of units of the Defense Forces,
  • corrected Russian missile strikes on the region's critical infrastructure, in particular, energy.

The organizer of the intelligence group passed the information received to his curator through anonymous messengers and drafts in the electronic boxes of Russian postal services. In particular, during searches at the place of residence of the traitor, law enforcement officers found a mobile phone and computer equipment red-handed with the aggressor.

Another member of the FSB spy network turned out to be pro-Kremlin blogger Alexander Sinitsyn. Since the beginning of the war, since 2014, he has been hiding from justice in Ryazan, Russia. Moreover, now he also has the citizenship of a terrorist country.

The SBU established that the man was previously a freelance correspondent for the central television channels of the occupying country, including Russia Today and the RosBusinessConsulting media group. There, he spread fake news about the situation in Ukraine and supported the seizure of Crimea. After fleeing Ukraine, he created the Tipovaya Odessa telegram channel, where he continued to distribute destructive content.

It is curious that the hostile blogger was in direct contact with the inhabitant of Odessa. From him, he received materials about the events in southern Ukraine and made provocative publications.

What threatens the traitors of Ukraine

For subversive activities in favor of Russia, criminals face punishment up to and including imprisonment.

Thus, investigators from the SBU have already informed an Odessa citizen of suspicion under Part 2 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine “Treason committed under martial law.” Punishment for its violation provides for imprisonment for a term of 15 years or life imprisonment with confiscation of property. The court chose a measure of restraint for the traitor in the form of detention.

As for the blogger and pro-Russian propagandist, a message is being prepared for him on suspicion under Article 436-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine “Justification, recognition of lawfulness, denial of the armed aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine, glorification of its participants.” For its violation, it is expected, in particular:

  • restriction of liberty for up to 5 years,
  • imprisonment for a term of 3 to 8 years,
  • with or without property confiscation.

However, law enforcement officers do not stop there. Currently, a pre-trial investigation is underway to bring other members of the enemy agents to justice.
