In Dnipro, SBU officers found an enemy fire spotter on the city. It turned out to be a representative of the inner circle of the former MP Ilya Kiva.
As noted in the SBU, after the start of a full-scale invasion of Russia, an enemy agent remained in the Dnieper for subversive activities in favor of the invaders.
The attacker tried to identify and transfer the geolocation of the Ukrainian air defense units to the aggressor.
What is known about the traitor
According to SBU counterintelligence, the traitor is a local IT businessman who met Kiva in 2014. Subsequently, at the suggestion of the traitor people's deputy, the entrepreneur headed one of the city's public associations, controlled by the leadership of the banned OPPL party.
He was involved in:
- collecting information about locations and movement of units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine,
- and also transmitted the coordinates of critical infrastructure facilities to the invaders.
In his “reports” he published photos and videos that he received during covert surveillance of objects. To each of them I added text messages with a detailed description of the surrounding area and clarifying characteristics. – the SBU reported.
The aggressor used the information received to carry out missile strikes on the city and plan sabotage.
