In Sumy region, the SBU detained a Russian agent, who turned out to be a local resident. He scouted the positions of the Ukrainian military.
It turned out that the traitor was recruited by a representative of the Russian special services during Russia's full-scale aggression against Ukraine. This was reported by the Security Service of Ukraine on June 17.

During a special operation, a resident of Sumy was detained, who was passing information to the enemy about the deployment, armament and movement of units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the border areas, the message says.
Russian infidels gave the resident Sum task: to photograph and shoot the location of defense facilities and the movement of Ukrainian military equipment. The agent sent all materials with a location mark to his curator through closed electronic communication channels.
Law enforcement officers conducted searches in the home of the attacker. They found computer equipment and mobile devices red-handed.
The pre-trial investigation continues. The Sumchanin is planned to be declared suspected of high treason committed under martial law.

During the pre-trial investigation, investigators found out that one of the parties to the conflict, a 74-year-old woman and her publicly supported the “Russian world” for several years. Witnesses said that women deny Russia's invasion of Ukraine.
In addition, they publicly call for support for the actions of the Russian authorities and cooperation with the occupation administrations. It turned out that women do not even recognize the state sovereignty of Ukraine. If the court proves the guilt of the collaborators, they will spend 10 to 15 years behind bars.
