Law enforcement officers detained a plunderer/SBU
Law enforcement officers detained the organizer of a criminal group that plundered the subsoil in the Kharkiv region. This caused damage to the state in the amount of 1 billion hryvnia.
The leader of the criminal group was hiding from law enforcement officers for almost half a year. Then he was suspected of organizing illegal mining of construction sand on an industrial scale. This was reported to the SBU on July 14.
Almost 1 billion losses
According to the conclusions of the examination, his illegal activities caused damage to the state budget and environmental fund in the amount of almost 1 billion hryvnia, the report says.
The SBU liquidated the criminal group in early 2022. Malefactors arranged illegal careers in the territory of the Rogan united territorial community. From there they exported sand on an industrial scale. Also, the violators set up underground mining in the Kharkiv region.
Then the law enforcement officers detained only a few malefactors
The law enforcement officers then managed to detain three participants in the illegal business. However, the main organizer was hiding from the investigation and was put on the nationwide wanted list.
Now he was announced on suspicion of committing a crime. Subsequently, a measure of restraint will be chosen. Preliminarily, this is detention.
It turned out that the attacker was a member of the inner circle of the late crime boss “Prince”. His group is involved in premeditated murders, raiding and kidnapping in Kharkiv, Dnepropetrovsk and Poltava regions.
