Save resources: what will be Belousov’s main task in his new position?

Vladimir Putin appointed Andrei Belousov to the post of Russian Defense Minister instead of Sergei Shoigu. He knows where and how much money can be obtained.

This is the opinion 24 Channelsaid political strategist Abbas Gallyamov, noting that Belousov must find additional resources for the war. Such personnel changes indicate Putin's fear of losing the war against Ukraine.

Belousov's main task

Now for the Kremlin, according to a political strategist, the work of the Ministry of Defense is a matter of life and death. Putin appointed Belousov to the post of Defense Minister because he realized that the volume of resources that he had originally planned for introducing war might not be enough. Belousov’s task is to find additional resources.

Belousov knows where to get money for the war. Last year, he proposed to Putin a solution regarding the prospects of transferring the economy to a “war footing.” Putin listened to this plan last fall until he accepted it. However, it settled in his head that Belousov carried out an audit and knows where and how much he can get (money – Channel 24) to wage war,” Gallyamov emphasized.

Previously, Belousov, according to the political strategist, was not interested in “robbing”, for example, farmers and siphoning off their finances for the war. Now this is his established goal. Putin made him a lobbyist for the Russian defense complex.

Why did Putin make just such a personnel change

The Russian dictator could appoint Belousov to the post of prime minister. In this case, he would have developed a state plan and introduced strict control over the finances that go to war. Putin would not agree to such radical actions .

Gallyamov said that Belousov, who was the first deputy chairman of the Russian government Mikhail Mishustin, is now “below” from him, because now he is involved not only in the entire economy of the country, but purely in the military.

Vladimir Putin has always been famous for his “terrible” threats and desire to take over the whole world. According to the political strategist, Putin previously followed this path, but now he understands that he will have to fight for a long time, which means that forces and resources need to be saved, and there is no need to aggravate relations with the West.

Two nuances forced him (Putin – Channel 24) to take such a moderate position. The first is the decision of the US Congress to unblock the military aid package to Ukraine, the second is that Putin knows the price of formal successes of the Russians at the front,” Gallyamov noted.

Personnel changes in the Kremlin: briefly what happened
