Opinions are regularly heard in Russia that abortion should be banned. They don't pay attention to the fact that this will lead to “unexpected” consequences.

Political analyst Olga Kurnosova told Channel 24 about this, commenting on a statement by one of the representatives of the Russian Orthodox Church about the need to ban abortion in Russia.

It is already more difficult to get an abortion in Russia

As Kurnosova noted, even the most idiotic ideas can be implemented in Russia. And anti-abortion advocates are often reluctant to delve into this issue.

What is more surprising is their lack of awareness. They have no desire to read basic things. When abortions are banned, criminal abortions increase. Women may die or be permanently unable to give birth. After all, complications often arise in such cases. We see Stalin’s methods again,” Kurnosova said.

Now, according to various sources, many Russian private clinics refuse to perform abortions for various reasons. Therefore, it is quite possible that over time such procedures will be completely banned there.

The situation in Russia: briefly

  • Russia has suffered colossal losses since the start of a full-scale war, which began on February 24, 2022. Since then, the Ukrainian military has eliminated 311,750 occupier personnel. It was also possible to destroy 5,349 tanks, 10,073 armored combat vehicles, 7,559 artillery systems, 881 multiple launch rocket systems, and 580 air defense systems.
  • In addition, on the evening of November 10, explosions were heard in a number of Russian settlements. It is known that there was a fire at the Kotovsk gunpowder factory.
  • Energy Minister German Galushchenko suggested whether Russia will attack Ukraine’s energy infrastructure. They are probably waiting for the weather to get colder.
