Mikhail Podolyak spoke about the blow to the Russian economy/Office of the President
Sanctions that many countries around the world have imposed against Russia are starting to deal an increasingly painful blow to the economy of the aggressor country. They are gradually knocking down the arrogance from the faces of the Russians.
This was stated by Advisor to the Head of the Office of the President Mikhail Podolyak. He said that arrogance would finally disappear when direct and indirect energy embargoes nevertheless began to work.
According to Podolyak, already now, the head of the Russian Central Bank, speaking before the State Duma, directly announced a big crisis that literally opens the door . She also said that:
- the period when the economy can continue to live on reserves is over, and it will end in the II-III quarter of 2022;
- In the near future, Russia will finally stop curbing inflation. There just won't be the resources to do it. And prices will go up a lot. At the same time, there will be systemic deficits;
- After the imposition of the current sanctions, Russia was immediately left with half of its gold and foreign exchange reserves. The rest of the reserves are yuan and gold, which cannot be properly managed during sanctions.
And the conclusion is simple: downward movement is always due to acceleration. It is desirable to accelerate as quickly as possible, added Podolyak.
Earlier, Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmihal said that Russia's default is only a matter of time. According to Shmygal, the EU has finally started discussing an oil embargo for Russia and tightening sanctions against Sberbank.
In addition, the ports of all EU countries have ceased to serve the ships of the aggressor state. The head of the Cabinet stressed that these decisions must be made as soon as possible, because they will help stop the war.
