Russian journalist Yakovenko commented on Putin's speech/Channel 24 collage
I can not say that Putin's speech looked like an excuse. But it was a very boring speech, it did not stand out in any way from similar sayings that have been heard recently.
Russian journalist Igor Yakovenko shared this with Channel 24. He also noted that, probably, “cleansings” continue in the Russian authorities because of the failures in the war with Ukraine.
I would even note that it was a boring speech not only during the war against Ukraine, but also in recent years. He did not live up to any “expectations”, he did not declare war, nor did he mobilize, – a Russian journalist noted.
“Putin “lived in vain” that day, as expected – not a single foreign leader arrived in Putin everything was quite banal. The speech itself was boring and banal, because no “gifts” were presented to Putin for this day, he looked somewhat disappointed,” notes Igor Yakovenko.
“Debriefing” in the Kremlin
It is likely that certain charges and punishments are already ongoing, and this is evident from the actions that are taking place now. Some FSB generals in prisons, it is obvious that something is happening inside the General Staff of Russia, – Yakovenko is convinced.
According to Yakovenko, while this is all “undercover” and not for the human eye, the journalist believes that this war may drag on until the end of the year, or even go beyond it.
It is obvious that Putin cannot win this war, but we need to understand what this victory will be like for Ukraine. Where will its limits be and in what terms Ukrainians will be able to get it. It is clear that there will be no decision in a week, so the most likely period is months of struggle,” Igor Yakovenko added. >
- The traditional procession of the “Immortal Regiment” took place in Moscow on the 9th. This year, photographs of the occupiers who brazenly invaded Ukraine on February 24 were carried with portraits of those who died in World War II.
- In the UK, they reacted to Putin's speech. They said that this was a glimpse of the despair of his regime.
- The Ukrainian Foreign Ministry also commented on the military coven in Moscow. They added that “murderers and rapists took to the parade.”
- Former Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Kasyanov declared “the beginning of the end of the Putin era.” He believes that the Russian president understands his loss in the war, and his speech on May 9 clearly demonstrated this.
