Western intelligence exposed Russia's plans for murder, arson and other sabotage in Europe against companies and people associated with supporting the Ukrainian army. One of the most serious was the intention to kill the head of a German arms manufacturer.

These plots involved recruiting criminals in different countries to carry out attacks. One of the major plans exposed was against Armin Papperger, the CEO of Rheinmetall.

Russia's Insidious Plans Revealed

Rheinmetall is a major supplier of military technology and artillery shells to Ukraine in its fight against the Russians.

U.S. National Security Council spokeswoman Adrienne Watson declined to comment on the possible plot against Papperger, but said “Russia's subversion campaign has become increasingly intense” and has received a lot of attention in recent months.

The United States is discussing this issue with our NATO allies. We are actively working together on the revelations. We have also made it clear that Russia's actions will not stop allies from continuing to support Ukraine, Watson added.

Neither Rheinmetall nor the German government have commented on the reports of a plot against Papperger.

Interior Ministry spokesman Maximilian Kall said they could not comment on “individual cases,” but added that overall Berlin “takes the growing threat from Russia very seriously.”

We know that the Putin regime seeks above all to undermine our support for Ukraine in its defense against Russian aggression, but the German government will not be intimidated, Kall said.

Recall that in April, German investigators arrested two men on suspicion of of spying for Russia. One of them is also accused of agreeing to carry out attacks on potential targets, including US military installations.
