Russian media report that a series of explosions thundered in Ryazan at about 00:30 on January 26. There they add that the Ukrainian Armed Forces allegedly tried to attack the local oil refinery.

Eyewitnesses say that 3 to 5 explosions were heard on the outskirts of the city. This was reported by 24 Channel with reference to Russian Telegram channels.

Residents of Ryazan reported that an air danger signal went off in some areas of the city, and bright flashes could be seen in the sky. They also claim that the air defense system was allegedly working. At present, Russian authorities have not released any information about casualties or damage as a result of the attack.

It should be noted that this is not the first drone attack on Ryazan. In particular, explosions were also heard there on January 24. The oil refinery, which is an important facility in the Russian oil industry, was probably hit.

Then the regional governor stated that the drones were allegedly destroyed by air defense systems, and that there were no casualties as a result of the attack.
