Russia's first strike on Ukraine, inflicted in the morning on military infrastructure facilities, failed. The combat readiness of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and other power structures has not been reduced, the defense continues.
This was stated today at a briefing by Advisor to the Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Oleksiy Arestovich. He noted that he will publish preliminary data, which are being specified.
– The main strikes were carried out at 0500 on military infrastructure, airfields, resource depots and military command centers. According to our preliminary estimates, the data are being specified, the first strike failed. That is, there are losses, but they are insignificant and did not reduce the combat capability of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and other power structures,” Arestovich emphasized.
He clarified that the strikes took place in Ivano-Frankivsk, Khmelnitsky, Chernigov, Kharkov, Kiev, Odessa, Nikolaev, Kherson, Kramatorsk and on the line of the zone of the Joint Forces Operation.
According to Arestovich, there is information that during the attack, Russian troops in several directions wedged into the territory of Ukraine at a distance of up to five kilometers. This is observed in the north of Kharkov and Chernihiv regions.
– According to preliminary data, there is a slight wedging of the enemy at a distance of up to 5 km. This is observed in the north of the Kharkov region, in Chernihiv region closer to Sumy. And there is data that requires verification, perhaps in the Volyn direction. But there, according to the information received, this progress is reflected, – Arestovich specified.
He stressed that the Armed Forces of Ukraine are ready, the Ukrainian authorities are working to protect Ukraine.
– There is no panic. The military-political leadership of Ukraine remains calm and confidently leads the troops and other services,” Arestovich added.
